How do I record a walkthrough?+

Install the FixLink Capture recorder, open the page where your customer gets stuck, open the side panel and press Start, then walk through the fix once. See recorder setup.

Do I need the extension to make a guide?+

No. You can write a guide by hand in your workspace. You only need the recorder for screen-based fixes.

How is sensitive data protected?+

Password, email, payment, and token fields are blurred the moment you record. Non-sensitive typed text can be captured for exact reproduction steps, and detected secrets are redacted. Details in our privacy policy.

Do my customers need an account to open a fix link?+

No. Anyone with the link can open the guide and mark it solved or not.
