# Reset the router and reconnect

A simple guide for restoring a home or office Wi-Fi connection.

## Steps

### 1. Check the router lights

Confirm the power light is solid and the internet light is either solid or blinking. If the power light is off, plug the router into a working outlet.

> Do not press the reset pinhole yet. Start with a normal power cycle.


### 2. Restart the router

Unplug the router power cable for 20 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait up to two minutes for the internet light to return.


### 3. Reconnect to Wi-Fi

Open Wi-Fi settings on the device and reconnect to the network name printed on the router label or provided by support.


### 4. Send the result back

If the device reconnects, choose Yes below. If it still fails, choose No and include the exact light pattern on the router.
